Moscow will have more hotels
The number of hotel rooms in Moscow will grow three in the next few years, said Grigory Antiufeyev, head of the Moscow tourism committee, in his recent interview. Today the city has 219 hotels with a total of over 72 000 rooms. According to Mr Antiufeyev, this figure will increase by 2,5 by the year 2010 and threefold later on.The head of the Moscow tourism committee also pointed out that in 2007 foreign guests spent over 4 billion dollars in Moscow. When the hotel accommodation expands this amount will grow up and part of the money derived from tourism will be invested in social development.
